Check out Mont. Ward Grill. Missing hood, IMAG0595.jpg IMAG0594-1.jpg IMAG0593.jpg IMAG0592.jpg IMAG0591-1.jpg grill to hood brace, grill towers, grill, gas tank, batt box, fenders, fenders ext. Has a JD steering column welded in place with what seems to be a piece of railroad tie plates.  Frame on left half cut out for ease of access to dip stick on an OLD 16hp Briggs. Other than those little items, she starts and drives just fine. By the way, it is an early HD-12

I see a lot of potential. You are now in the HD-12 club which currently has a very small group of members. Your fenders off the D4-10 will fit perfectly, so that part is taken care of......definitely got to replace that front grill. :D     Looking good Burl! I know you will perform your magic and this HD-12 will be looking good before too long.

Wow, what a find. Is that the one you wrote telling me when was there. You going to keep it and do your magic on it?

Well, I got some tin put on her. Most of it I made from scratch by looking at pics off of this site. None of it is perfect OE, but it is close enough for me.  Grill tower made from D4-10. Had to lengthen about  3in. They are too skinny but saved many hours of fab. Will do bondo work after all pieces are made. Wanting to tackle steering column next week if time permits.

Nice work, It's looking good. A Bush Hog like that is nowhere close to being too far gone. Not to mention you made fast work of making the pieces you needed.

A bit more done and a long way to go. Welded 41 holes,cutouts. and still did not fill them all. Dont look to close! Fender to floorboard panels were most difficult.DSC01554.JPG DSC01521.JPG DSC01522.JPG DSC01523.JPG DSC01525.JPG DSC01526.JPG DSC01528.JPG DSC01529.JPG DSC01530.JPG DSC01521.JPG DSC01522.JPG DSC01523.JPG DSC01525.JPG DSC01526.JPG DSC01528.JPG DSC01529.JPG DSC01530.JPG DSC01530.JPG DSC01531.JPG DSC01532.JPG DSC01533.JPG DSC01534.JPG DSC01535.JPG DSC01536.JPG DSC01537.JPG DSC01538.JPG DSC01539.JPG DSC01540.JPG DSC01541.JPG DSC01542.JPG DSC01543.JPG DSC01544.JPG DSC01545.JPG DSC01546.JPG DSC01547.JPG DSC01549.JPG DSC01550.JPG DSC01551.JPG DSC01552.JPG DSC01553.JPG
