This is my Massey MF 12 that my Grandpa and Grandma used to mow their lawn for years. It has a 16 horse Tecumseh OH 160 (if I remember correctly) that runs like a top. There is a few more things I am going to do to it like buy a battery and wire it properly, also I am going to add a custom hood.image.jpg

With the two tone rims, it looks to been early one. Any serial number on that tag?

From what I can tell they're not too complicated to work on, at least the little bit I have done!

Look like a nice one for a good project. Keep us up to date. Your ID plate is on the left & mine is on the right. The ID plates on these MF12 are confusing. I have a 68 & my plate was a metal sticky back foil plate on the right side but on the left side it has holes & looks like one has been there too below the holes.

Looks like you've been out playing in the mud a bit, Unstuck.

Are you missing the original hood, or does it not fit over the OHV engine?

Well, yes to both. The original engine was replaced by the over head valve so the hood would not fit, but I do not have the original hood.
