I am starting a restoration project on a Jacobsen Super Chief 1450 and I am looking for an owners manual before I start. I have found owners manuals that include the 800, 1000, and 1200 models but I am not sure if these manuals are the same as the one for the 1450. Any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the Forum! Hang loose a bit as we do have some members with older Jakes that may shed some light on this. I found a parts manual so far that I think is for this tractor. It looks to be similar to the 1200.

I suppose you already looked in the manuals section of this site? Look under Ford/Jacobsen tractor section. See if you can determine which Ford tractor is the same as your Jake 1450. maybe it is listed under a Ford tractor . Jacobsen made Fords in the 60s and early 70s? If that fails check this eBay page

http://www.ebay.com/...s-/290714967115

make sure your tractor is there, it contains many manuals. Hopefully I gave you good info. Welcome to the group

Unstuck, I hope one of the jake guys can point you in the right direction.

Until then, :welcometogttalk:

BTW, I merged the two threads on the 1450 manuals so there would be less confusion.

Mike, I have that CD and it doesn't have the manual he is looking for. That shows a manual for the 1250,1450, & 1650, but that is for the newer closed side (1977-up) tractors.

If the 1200 and 1450 manuals are the same or similar then I will just download or buy that manual, but I would like to make sure they are before I do.
