1954 Porsche-Allgaier P312 coffee tractor

Salvaged from death by rust in a Brazil warehouse, freighted to the UK by sea in 2000, and, after two years being renovated, this extraordinary machine is a cross between a small submarine and a missile. It is the only complete and running example of the 300 or so Porsche tractors designed to work on coffee plantations and exported to Brazil.

Coffee Train

The brilliant orange tractor looks like the ultimate in tractor aerodynamics, but its smooth lines were designed to avoid to damage delicate coffee plants. Likewise, it is unique in the Porsche tractor heritage in having a petrol engine - the coffee plantation owners did no want diesel fumes near their plants...

That's amazing!  We are in orchard country, and so there are lots of orchard machines of various brands and vintages around, but THAT is neat!

That is a really cool find. I love orchard tractors. They are rare and I would love to own one.

It has 2 tanks. One for Petrol and the other for coffee!
