Do you ever get into restoring any of them?

yes I have restored a couple ridemaster an ride-a-matics. Both those early handi-Ho's I restored I'm restoring another ridemaster now an plan to repaint two more

And, Aaron, I still have the Ridemaster you sold to me several years ago. It is a lot of fun to watch folks around here scratch their heads when they look at it. jdcrawler sold me a dozer blade and rear hitch for it shortly after.

Do you know the models on those Handi-Ho's  ?

 

I believe there was a very early version of these (10A) which were badged "Huski Yard Boy" with the "T" handles like in your pictures.

. They are both model 10a. I have owned a total of three of these units an all three had original paint an all said handi-ho on the engine shroud. You are correct in the fact that the firsts were named yard boy an those were all first year production I have never seen one with a original decal saying yard boy

. Doug, I believe one has a aluminum air shroud the other is steel an both gas tanks are steel

Not really restored, mostly just cleaned up some. It looked pretty good when I got it from you; I like the vintage appearance. Even though the paint is not original it looks old but not rusty.

How many of the "Homely" (1962) Ride-a-Matics do you own?

I'm on the fence whether or not to get one.

They're so ugly but yet I feel I need to have one for my collection :D

Ya the 62's were a little shall we say uncute but stand out in a crowd they do and that is why i would grab one given the chance :worshippy1:
