Picked this little guy up last night. its a 1957 planet junior super tuffy. its all complete and runs great. But its kind of an odd story how i got it. i was looking on craigslist and found an ad for a briggs model 6s. I called the guy up and he said it came off a old walk behind. he then told me that it ran good but he took it off to put a modern motor on it so he could do more work. i told him i was interested in the motor and set up a time to meet. when i got there i purchased the motor from him and then started talking about that walk behind. he said he still had it and would sell it. so we walked to his other barn and there it was. he had a newer briggs and stratton on it that fit perfectly without making any changes. After looking it over i told him i would buy it and we took the other motor off and loaded it up. When i got back home i mounted the original motor back on it and cleaned it up. If everything didnt work out the way it did, this tractor and motor would have been seperated and the frame probably would of went to the scrap. And to make the save it only cost 65.00 and a little gas.

Very nice machine!  It even looks sharp, did you repaint it?

Bob, do you want a Super Tuffy or just a plain Tuffy?  I have a Tuffy that will need a home in the near future.

Thanks! I did repaint the handlebars and the center cap on the wheels. Someone else painted the cultivator and wheel. The motor has the original paint on it though.

That is impressive for original paint.  I can't believe someone would want to remove that.
