I have a 600 here that needs an engine. Im looking for a running replacement engine that would have been original to the 600. If anybody has one to sell, please let me know.

Which engine(s) were used in the 600's? Did they use different models of Briggs and/or did they use other brands?

I believe it should be a briggs 142301. I have the electric start model.

Something like this one? I had the same issue, mine ran but needed a rebuild cause it smoked so bad.

Does it still have any of the original paint on it?

The 600's were only made from 62'-64' but my records show that the 600's were still available for purchase in 65'. I guess they must have had some left overs.
