Does the Hydro handle move and the tractor keep going, or is the handle stuck?

I can't tell you how to fix it, but I did find this and download it for myself: http://gardentractor...-tranny-manual/

I hope that helps you

Check the hydro release lever (small turn knob under your right knee on tranny, it may have unintentionally been turned),

that could have locked you into just one direction.

Fixed up yet?

Sounds like the ball stud on the direction control lever assembly may have popped out of the control cam plate on the front of the hydro pump.

It's a common problem caused by wear.

You'll need to remove the top panel on the lower part of the hoodstand to access that area.

Thanks WH1056-yes the plastic control plate was loose-one of the metal H brackets was loose-of course as luck would have it the starter crapped out-think i'm going to retire the Electro 12 to the showroom-just bought a Toro/Wheelhorse 522xi w/2 stage blower-54" deck with chute/bagger assembly-I know it's not a classic but I need some thing for serious blowing and mowing-live in the country with approx. 500' driveway and about5 acres grass to mow
