Like the title says I found a old Bolens 800 while I was bored browsing craigslist. I bought it last summer and traded it not long after. I will say that I'm sorry to see where it ended up. It will most likely suffer a slow death.

Another fine example of why a vintage GT should not be left in it's 'work clothes' or it's 'original patina'. As soon as the new owner has a mechanical issue, they figure it's not worth fixing.

Gonna rescue this one also?

No, the current owner puts high prices on everything. He has been talked about in other topics on here before.

Looks like a lot of GT's there. I hate to see them sitting like that. How far is that from you Matt?

I swapped him for the G11 sorry about that but she started to knock pretty good and the driveshaft bearings were very very noisy in high range. I kept the deck and Tiller and the tire chains.

Don't know why it started knocking.1st thing I did was change the oil clean the points and clean the carb.My guess is it was over revved a few to many times. The throttle linkage spring that was on it was Way Way to heavy. That's why I got the spring and rod off of you for it.It started and ran good till it started to warm up then it would start knocking.

Anyway I got a great running tractor out of the deal and a front plow,tiller,2decks,2 sets of tire chains, extra set of 23x10.50x12 tires and wheels and a set of wheel weights. And I almost forgot a spring assist kit for the lift that I took off of the 800.That thing sure helps lifting that heavy tiller.

I like the smaller green deck better than the big red 42".It cuts really good and it's very easy to take off and put back on and it weighs about 1/2 as much as the 42" deck (atleast it fells about 1/2 as heavy) .
