That guy really thinks he has some rare thing there.  Were these really made by Shaw of old tractor fame?  Would think they went out of business long before the later BH's came along?  Maybe they made other stuff to stay in business??  Enlighten me.

Not sure I am the right one to tell the history. Shaw Manufacturing was bought by Bush Hog and Shaw built bush hogs from 1963 till 1971-72. My price lists still showed Shaw riding mower parts available for sale all the way up until 1971 list. Not sure if any more shaw mowers were made but the parts were definitely still available. I am told Mr Shaw was about 80 when he sold to BH. He built most anything, tractors, cars,, motorcyles, etc.

Yes he did build the Shaw Dualls. His biography is pretty amazing. He had little to no education yet accomplished much.

Is the ad legitimate?

Looks like a folded up old picture.

I swear, the advertisers on eBay have lost their minds.
They are posting ads with the most ridiculous pricing and claims ever.
I just sent this a message to a fella advertising this common as dirt Bolens G10.

This tractor has dings, rust, scrapes, mismatched front tires, a recovered seat, and an after market muffler.

IF the guy you bought it from told you that it was only used 3 times, he was a lying SOB, and you Sir, were a fool to believe him.

That tractor on a GOOD day is worth a max of $350.00. Please stop embarrassing yourself by advertising it at this ridiculous price.

That's not even the worst of them.

THIS clown wants $4,250.00 for a pull behind dirt pan. Problem for him is that you can buy a very similar one NEW for $975.00.

No way it'll ever draw serious interest at that outragious price.  The left fender box is even missing it's lid!  Amazing how they think they could just say "recently valued at 10 grand" and think people will swallow that.  Oh well, makes no matter to me!

I got a call today randomly from this nice woman, Colette is her name. She lives in Mass and travels to maine weekly I think she said.

Very nice woman and she's done her homework on this machine and feels it's worth 4K.

I politely declined, told her what I felt it was worth and if she ever comes down to my price range then let me know.

So the ads legit, and it will be coming back on CL shortly.
