Well it's been over a year since I've road my Harley. I sure miss riding. Figured ehh what the heck the bike show is in town. So I figure let's go look at all the nice rides that I can't get on... Heck I can barley walk any more. Might have to cry a tear in my beer tonight..

I did get to the wreckers yesterday for some parts for my 80 gmc truck.. A twin post gm tape deck. And a few other small parts I needed.. I was so happy.. I'm going back on Monday for a few more parts..

Hope y'all have a good Saturday..

On the bright side I'm glad to hear you finally found a twin post tape deck like you've been searching far and wide for!

That's the great thing about bikes, you don't have to ride em to enjoy em! :smilewink:

I can appreciate how you feel T-G.  I haven't ridden since July and I'm not sure what the future holds of riding.  We have a bike show here at the end of the month.  I'm not sure if I'm going or not.

I never have rode a street bike. I've always been dirt. I've thought about it a lot

I can understand, I sold mine a few years ago because of the oxygen use.  I decided a truck would do me better as it would have more uses.  That 82 Chevy is fun and I use it a lot but it doesn't replace riding.  I still love bikes, especially Harleys and still dream of someday owning a Road King.

Came home empty handed.. Only to find out my buddy is selling his very nice and very well maintained KTM 525. For a great price. I asked him if he would let me know before he lists it in he the paper for sale. I am going to attemto to buy it, Some very nice rides at the show.. My Harley is hibernating in our basement. Every once in a while I take the boy down there and we sit on it.

If you get that ktm525 put the oil cooler kit on it. I've read that they only hold like 1.5 quarts of oil.

Thanks for the heads up. It may not be needed up here as we rarely break 75f in the summer. More common to see 32f at night.

No problem.  I guess you are pretty up north.  I've heard of them running at highway speed for long periods and burning off oil.  My one buddy is obsessed with KTM bikes

Motorcycles are a disease! Once it get's in your blood you never shake it.

My son is picking up a Super nice 1990 Kawasaki  250 LTD tonight and is going to store it in my shed.

I am going to try really hard not to test drive it in the Alberta Clipper we are getting tonight.

Those would kill a true biker. To used to having something narrow under ya to escape a problem situation.
