I know he's having fun. I was just joining in, asking him if he was SURE that there was something missing. I was just kidding.

I thought you may have done a fast read & missed that.  I do that myself all the time.  Guess not everyone is as rattle brained as I've become!

I meant for this to come after the above quote: "That's alright! Just having fun. This is a great forum!" Sorry for messing up.

Does anyone know where to find the bearing kit for the steering gear?

I think you are talking about #36 in this pictureimage.jpg

If so, I would try the site sponsors or my local bearing supply house. You should be able to get it from Agco or possibly Jack's small engines.

Thanks, but the ones I'm talking about are part of the steering box.

I'm sure they are available. I recall a conversation here on GTT about this a while ago.

Try searching the site, for Ross steering box. Should be plenty of reading there.

My perforated steel sheet for the grill came yesterday. When you fellow restorers deal with the electrical parts(solenoids, starter switches, etc.) and wiring during a restoration, do you use the original, or add all new parts and wiring?

I reuse anything that's good. But that's one man's opinion.
