Gents,

I am in need of the entire seat assembly and seat for the Bolens 1886 forklift that I'm having re-furbished.

I looked through the parts catalogs, and the same seat base was used on all of the early large frames up through the 1886-03.

The seats themselves were different, but I'm not picky about having the 'correct' seat at this time, so any of the early seats will do.

Here's a pic of the one on an 1886-01 that I bought recently so you can see which one I'm talking about.

I will need everything including the brackets that bolt onto the seat pan.

So an Exmark seat just doesn't cut it, hmmm?

Isn't it hard to find orig seats that are any good at this age? Brackets maybe, but not the seat?  I usually just put new ones on the old brackets myself. Maybe a better one with high backs and armrests are nice for us older guys.  Watch out for many on epay anymore. Most are Chinese and not that good, even when you pay more. I've had some with sliding runner mounts that are trash and some arm-rests are just plastic and have had those break or even been broken right in package during shipment. Most have several bolt patterns now, that is not so much an issue. "Cheap" is never in the price anymore. Farm stores used to have pretty good ones, but way up in price now. Course can find Yellow Deere looking seats all over!  they are pretty nice, but that Yellow!

Were talking the part the seat sits on.   To find a good old seat is a hard thing to find but there out there.

That seat would probably work, but the big thing we need is the seat base.

I think I have a seat bracket laying around somewhere.

I will look tonight if you still need one.
