comming my way. I picked this up from a friend who was moving. She said it didn't work. I brought it home and cleaned it a bit and it started to work perfectly. I had originally thought of making a clock out of it because she said it didn't work as a theremometer. Once I got it to work right I had another idea.........Make it a " HOMELITE" thermometer. My dad had one nearly like this when he had the dealership. I don't know what happened to it but I've always wanted one. Here is a look at the starting point and I will post more after I find some printable adhesive copy paper. My question to you is......Should I use a " Stock " photo of the Homelite T - 16 H or should I take one of the pictures of My Homelite and use it to put on the face? I have a " Homelite " logo to put at the bottom so that is already set. It is an 18" model. The biggest I can find for new now is 13.5" Going to have to check a few garage sales this spring to see if I can find more. If this one comes out good I would like to make a few more. It actually looks better in person than it does in the pics. Here are a few pictures.

I'd put your own on it.

I want to find one like this

I never would of found a picture if I wouldn't of seen the one you posted.  I seen the "Ohio" on the bottom of it and remember it.  My grandfather had one of those on his back porch for ever.  I don't remember it ever not being there.  When my grandparents both passed I was living out of state.  I do not know why I didn't tell my mom to grab it.  There are several on ebay right now!

There are some new ones on Amazon also. There is a company in the USA that makes one almost like that called Taylor. Thanks and good luck. Roger,

I know fella, Mike Hamper that has a sign shop and makes lots of Speedex clocks and such. He can make the print with personal item on it and more. mhamper@roadrunner.com    He has some Speedex clocks on epay now. I just won the metal framed one he had with a 1630 in background.  He might make one with your font/letter choices and such w/out the clock and to fit your face on that.

Thanks glgrumpy, I will look it up and see what he has. I have just located an old 18" clock (used to be in a school gym) and it is free. I am going to call the guy tonight to see if I can still get it from him. If I can I might make a Sears clock out of it with a picture of our Custom 10XL on it. I just found out about it in the last couple of hours. Thanks. Roger.

A personalized one would be nice. What did your Dad's original one have on it? Did it have a picture of a tractor or just say Homelite Sales and Service?

Under the needle it said Homelite Lawn & Garden, on the bottom it said Homelite Textron.   I thought a picture of the tractor would be good under the needle. Thanks, Roger.

Yeh, good idea, so the needle will not bloke the tractor at any time.
