Poor Bolens!!!

Looks like it started out as a Gardener walkbehind then someone took a hatchet to it :(

I have the opposite opinion, Brian!  .....I am in awe of the design &  workmanship, if that is a homemade tractor.

It is definitely based on a Bolens Gardener, but I wonder if there is more to this story.

I never saw a tread pattern like those front tires!

It is homemade. Started its life as a two wheeler. I don't know much more than that. I will go back by there tomorrow and see what else he can tell me about it.

I asked him what he would sell it for today. He said $750. Says it runs good.

Was this person the builder, or did he acquire it elsewhere?

Any idea when it was built ??

Any details you can provide are greatly appreciated!   .....Thanks for posting this thread & pics!

He bought it at a show. He said he knew nothing about it till a guy walked up to him at a tractor show and told him that he had built it. I can get more pictures next time I am by there. I was in a hurry today is I did not have time.
