I received photos of the R12T bell housing from my friend this morning. They are attached. However, I'm not sure if they are very helpful, as there seems to be a sheet metal shroud over what would normally be called the actual bell housing. In any case, you can look at the photos and make your own determination.

The tin covers enclose the sides. there really isn't much of a bell housing there. If you look at Jamie's R12 here http://gardentractor...garden-tractor/  You can see the bellhousing without the covers in the second and next to last pictures.

I thought that I added photos of the Shaw R12T bell housing, but I don't see them so something didn't work right for me. Here goes again.
