A friend has a 1971 Bolens sprint 292. It runs, but the fuel pump is not working. Before we tear it apart, I wanted to find replacement parts for the pump. I have not had any luck finding anything on this sled.

Any help is appreciated.

The 292 (1971) Sprint should have a Bolens Engine 2Z15.70  (17HP)

Can you post a picture of the Carb?

Maybe they used the same Carb as the Hirth or JLO's  If thats the case I think I can get you part numbers.

If it has the factory carb with the built in fuel pump on it, you can get replacement diaphragms for it.

That's a rare sled..  Only made them 2 years!!  If the pump is not part of the carb, try one of these:

It has a Gutbrod engine. The fuel pump is part of the carburetor.

I have asked my friend to remove the carb and look for a manufacture name.

Where are rebuild kits available?

Ok, so that should make it have a Tillotson  HL Series  Carburetor

Model  HL279AX

(According to my Bolens literature)

Found a PDF of the service manual but no part numbers :(

Well, Brian, Tink, and you are. I'm hovering right below 'moderately neat-o', currently.

Oh gee, if the wife knew I was moderately neat-o I would get anything I want.
