Hello you Bolens experts,

I reasontly purchased an older Bolens tractor, but i am not able to figure out which model it is.

The closest i can get to one similar is the "QT" series, but this one is fitted with a 18hp Kohler Magnum engine.

It is in realle great condition and only 19xx hours on the counter, but has been repainted in Fendt colours and other head lights.

Could any of you tell me some more about this beauty? :-)

It's a 1800GT, large frame, predecessor to the Duractracs i believe, only made a couple of years, 1986-1988, maybe. Is the foot pedal upside down?

Hi OkieGt:

What do you mean by "upside/down"? The pedal has forward/reverse if that is what you mean?

Welcome to GTT

Looks like its undergone quite a bit of modifications.

Looks like it originally started out as a Q series before the Modifications, I dont think that engine is original.

Judging by the Knobs and Dash panel configuration I would say this was one of the early ones (Late 70's early 80's)

Its Definitely Not a 1800GT   that's part of the DuraTrac Series

For some reason I didn't think it looked like a QT, the motor threw me even thought I knew it was a repower, great going guys, but wasn't there a model before the Duratrac Gt1800's

Looking over manuals I draw a conclusion that this is a modified QS-16 ...

MODEL 1660 (QS-16).

BOLENS
TRACTOR
with
16 HP
KOHLER
ENGINE

The motor is a swap out (should be KOHLER ENGINE ASSEMBLY (K341AQS) ) and side stack is a modify, too.

Front grils replaced and headlights added.

Seat is not original.

But, if all is working why worry? Looks cool as it is.

Welcome to the forum.

Ok, so to sum everything up,

We all agree this is either a QS16 or QT16

Oh man oh man am i glad i "popped" the question here :o)

I thought that the engine was a swap, but was not sure. I can see that the holes in the frame for the engine has been modified.

Another thing is that both throttle and choke are working backwards acc. to the letters and figures on the dash.
