Forecasters had called for freezing rain starting last night,  well its here, everything is a sheet of ice, trees, wires, cars, steps, driveway and roads, supposed to warm up, but hasn't yet.....  And I have an outside list of chores that have to get done today no matter what.....  This ought to be fun :smilewink:   If I don't log back in later today someone send the sand truck by the house.....

Got rain most of the night. Temps in the mid 30s. Raining now and it is 37*. Supposed to get down to 30* and more snow and freezing rain tonight.  Stay safe on the roads and be warm.    Roger.

We had rain over night and into this morning but it has quite now.  Temps in the upper 50 to lower 60's today.  Time to get some shop time.

Be careful out there Peter!

The lawn may not survive, but salted the path and got the wood moved, we try and keep a week+ worth of wood right outside the kitchen door in a small shed built for that purpose, that is done, made 2 trips to the town barn for sand, got rid of the trash/recycling, and trudged up the hill to our neighbor, had her down the hill for lunch  now to see if we can walk her back up the hill and get ourselves back down.  It is a non town maintained "road" [road is a kind term for it] and it is a sloped skating rink right now.  :(

Good to hear none of you have busted your can or worse.  After a certain age it isn't a laughing matter when falling on ice!
