Picked up this Standard tractor (pre-Bantam) awhile back and will put it back to AC corporate orange and would like to find a Briggs model 9FB for it which was the original engine installed on this tractor. If anyone has a Briggs model 9FB (3hp) for sale please contact me.

I don't have the Briggs you need but it is very cool that you have a pre-Bantam. Were the Briggs 9Fb offered on other tractors as well that you know of?

Late 40's or 1950. Hope someone out there has info about them.

I only know Bantam 3000 models to have the Briggs 9FB on them. Can anyone else chime in?

dw1973 - Great little tractor for sure. Have you contacted Bantam Tractors to see if someone there could help with information and or finding a new or good used B&S 9FB? Not sure if it will help but it's a place to start.

I have looked all over the net for an early 1950's Briggs model 9FB. If you are referring to the Yahoo Bantam group - not much activity going on at that site.

That's kind of a neat site, has a little literature, parts cat, etc.

dw1973 - No, I'm not referring to the Yahoo group. I know it can be difficult to decipher embedded hyperlinks in this forum because of the colors used but I put a link in my post. If you mouse over the words "Bantam Tractors" in my previous post and click on it that will take you to the Bantam Tractor website. By contacting them just maybe they could give you some ideas on who to contact or some leads etc. on specific items you need?

Yeah, I thought it may be helpful I wasn't certain. Maybe someone there can point dw1973 in the right direction for something he is looking for for instance the correct OE engine for his Standard?
