I have a Tecumseh 8 Hp snow blower engine for sale. It through the rod and blew a hole in the side of the block so I don't know what the internals are like but everything on the outside is still good. I figured I post this here for parts to see if anyone could use anything before I end up scrapping it. If you are interested in any parts let me know.

Those flywheels tend to lose their magnets, so save the flywheel and alternater. Good Luck, Rick

Matt, I would be interested in the gas tank and muffler... If we could negotiate & I can get down there.

I may be coming down to Pittsburgh more this year, how far (time) from Oakland to you?

I am about 30 minutes outside of Pittsburgh and about 10-15 away from the PGH. Airport. Make me an offer on those parts and I will pull them off the engine tomorrow

Is it an HM80?  Is the carburetor a screw adjustment jet type or a fixed jet type?

It is a HMSK 80. How can you tell the difference between adjustable or fixed jet?

Adjustable jet has a screw with a spring at the bottom of the carb bowl, the fixed jet has what looks like a brass bolt.

HM "Snow King" 80 probably has fixed jets.

This one has an adjustable jet carb.

That was the second time I was ever wrong.

:D

I was hoping for a fixed jet, I have a customer needing a good one.  I bet an adjustable would work for him, though.  I'll pass it along.
