I have a Briggs and Stratton 2.5 hp 8R6 that I need to rebuild. I can find everything but the .010 over piston. Any help?

Thanks

If Ben can't help you out get a hold of Will Woodard. His ebay store is Wills What Nots.  http://stores.ebay.c...hat-Nots?_rdc=1  Between the 2 of them they should be able to help you out.

Will is working with me on the piston, too.  I sent him an email, maybe he will come through for us yet on a better price than what I have had to quote you.  :wallbanging:

FWIW, these 010 over pistons are scarce.  When Will doesn't have one in stock, that is bad news.  He had trouble with standard rings, also.

Ya'll take care of your 8 series Briggs engines, parts are getting a little harder to find than I thought at first glance!

The old cast iron model 8 is probabally one of the hardest pistons to find.  Last time I tried getting one from Will, we were unable to find one. I stayed faithful in my search, and one finally popped up on ebay. Good Luck, and hopefully Will can find you one.

Try searching this inventory with your part number.  B&S Parts

I bought a .030" over for my 8 a few years ago from M&D Small Engine
