Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a snow plow attachment for a John Deere 68 RER?

I've looked through the manual/parts guides and did not see one, but was curious if maybe there was a third party/aftermarket plow attachment?

Thanks!

Looks like I may have missed the fact that a 38" snow blade was made for these little guys. Found this parts catalog with a 38" blade for the RER's:

Any ideas where I could find one of these blades?

Thanks!

I think that would be a awesome setup. The weight would be well balanced.

I'd be carefull of breaking the transaxle. I've seen several LTs damaged from plowing. Take it slow and easy. Good Luck, Rick

The old Simplicity RER's offered a plow as well, but the trouble is, with the plow on the ground, there is no pressure on the front tires, and steering is all but impossible.  It's tough going, but neat to try.

alibi:

I bet they're hard to find. I hope you find one, it would be fun seeing pictures of you plow snow with the 68.

I'm assuming you have the Operator's Manual for the 68. If not, send me a PM and I can help you with that.

Thanks all!

@hdg4400 - Yes, I have the owners and shop manual for the 68. Now I just need to find the blade/plow for sale somewhere (or consider fabricating my own mount to use to attach a different plow to).

Any ideas where to start looking for this plow/snow blade?

I may have the blade you are looking for.  I won a "lot" of John Deere stuff in an auction that included a smaller blade.  I had posted some info on the blade on another web site and was told the blade is for a RER.  The blade does NOT have all the parts required to mount it.  I think it has parts 5 through 16 in the diagram you posted a link to.  I will have to see if I can get into the trailer where the blade is located (we had a major snowstorm in NW Indiana and I have 5+ foot snow drifts).

skiwithjohn, that would be awesome. I am definitely interested in it, so please let me know if you do have it, even without all the mounting parts. Worst case scenario that narrows down what I need to find (or fabricate).

I'll send you a PM with my email address as well.

Thanks!

Skiwithjohn came through! He had the blade, but unfortunately not the mounting hardware. So, after some creative fabrication, I came up with a mount. Finished it today, and here's the result!
