Hang in there, transition usually isn't fun and before you know it you'll be living your new life.

I used to live in the whitehouse/portland area.

Small world.

Filled out all the paper work today on the house. Then was told the broker has another applicant. I offered to pay 6 months rent in advance. Hopefully that sells it and we get in there! Nothing is ever so simple

Hoping you get your house & things work out for you & the family. Like mentioned transitions are hard sometimes especially when your a family person. Take things easy & don't get overwhelmed this is a good thing for you. In the 30 plus years of construction I went on the road two times for a week each time call me a wuss but I'm a home body & I missed my family so much....& my stuff. Keep us posted.

The guys at work laughed at me because I was excited when they came down to visit. My routine is come home from work. Eat family dinner. If it's nice out we do something outside. Maybe not all three of us but little girl is always with me. If it's cold or raining we watch TV or play games. Then it's bed time. We are always together as a family.

But that's how I think a family should be. Call me old fashioned but that's my life. Most guys hate their wives and are annoyed by their kids. I'm not that way. I've been in a bad marriage and appreciate my loving wife

Man do I so agree with you.  My wife Teresa & family is what makes me truly happy, tractors are secondary.  I've had bad history too, so makes things so clear once a true love comes along.

Today I am leaving to go back without my wife and little girl. I feel like there is a hole in the pit of my stomach. I do not want to leave without them. But it's what I have to do. I pray we can get into that house soon and be together full time again.

I'm fine at work but heading to an empty motel room makes me feel sick

Steph and I are truly best friends. When my ex left the house I didn't care when she would get back. When Steph leaves I find myself constantly checking the driveway (especially when she goes for beer).

I know exactly what you mean! I feel exactly the same way. My ex would leave I would feel like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. When I heard her car in the driveway I would just about have a panic attack.

Now hours feel like days and days feel like weeks and weeks like years.
