This morning I unburied my 1952 Tiger 883 from the tent garage. It has been sitting for more time then I can admit without feeling bad, over 2 years.; I figured it is time that I should let it go. I have not used it, and it is doing nobody any good sitting in the back of the tent garage, blocked in by tires. I have decided that the money I could sell it for, I could put towards an engine driven welder. I don't know what it will go for, I think I will list it on Craigslist and here, then if it doesn't sell after a while I will put it on eBay. I have to clean it, it is pretty dirty, and probably has mice in the engine. I am also not going to sell it with these tires, I will put 16 inch tires on it like it originally had. This way, I can sell the tires too, they are just about brand new.

Here it is this morning after I pulled it out.

I will have to paint the 16 inch wheels yellow before I can mount the tires, and make sure that it still runs before I can try to sell it.

Hey, that's pretty nice one. I thought you had just a junker 1/2 frame one or ?? not a finished one. Looks like right decals (not sure on flames tho). With correct wheels and tires, you should do good on selling that.  You finish that or buy that way?  Guess I missed postings on it if there were any.

Nice looking tractor, Ryan.  I didn't know you had one of those.  I've always wanted one.

Ryan, Isn't that the one that your Dad built for you and you used it to pull with. It sure is a good looking Tiger and it should sell well!! If I were closer, I'd even thing about it.

No offense intended.......

My wife wants an "odd-ball" type of GT and this would sure fit the bill!

Yes, this has the original Briggs 23 in it.

Nope, flames are not original, or is the evil clown on the side. I posted about it HERE a while back.

I did pull with this one, but it was not my first pull tractor... this was puller number 4.

No offense taken! If I had to pick any one of my tractors as a odd-ball, this would definitely be it! Remember it is in the "other brands" section for a reason!

Will, it took him a year to pick up the last one he bought, and that was not quite as far as this one... :poke:

I forgot to mention that earlier today I was going past tractor supply, so I got two cans of caterpillar yellow to paint the 16 inch wheels.

Cool tractor   don't know the first thing about them, but I'm going to learn.

No feeling in the GT world much worst than letting tractors just sit and not be used.

My 147 and 122 haven't turned a tire or saw sunlight in over two years. Didn't buy them and fix them to be squatters. But stuff happens in life that at the time are unforeseen.

I sprayed a coat on one side of the wheels today; after the first coat I read the can and it says 24 hours between coats! I am going to have to hang them up so that I can get the entire thing at once, it will take way to long to paint one side 3-4 coats, then flip and do the same. It would take a week for me to paint them, and that is if the weather is nice enough for me to bring them outside for a few minutes each day to spray them.

After the first coat, I brought them into the basement to dry. I went back outside and after 15 minutes my Mom had come outside to tell me the paint on the wheels stunk up the entire house. Now I wont be able to bring them into the basement to dry after I paint them, so I don't know how I will paint them now! I really don't want to have to wait until spring.
