ANTIQUE VERY RARE GERMAN MADE HOLDER GARDEN TRACTOR BUILT IN EARLY 1960'S.IT HAS ORIGINAL 16"BF GOODRICH TIRES.ONLY THING IN ENGLISH ON TIRES IS BF GOODRICH. IT HAS ARTICULATE STEERING,2 SPEED PTO(920&550). THREE POINT LIFT. 6 FORWARD GEARS AND 3 REVERSE SPEEDS.WHEEL WIDTH IS 30" AND 38" WHEN WHEELS ARE TURNED AROUND.VERY HEAVY TRACTOR. CAN ACCEPT RECEIVER HITCH ON FRONT OR REAR. TRACTOR IS ABOUT 9 FEET LONG AND CAN FIT IN FULL SIZE TRUCK BED. IT HAS A 2 CYLINDER WISCONSIN. THIS TRACTOR IS SO STRONG IT PULLED OUT MY FULL SIZE QUAD CAB LONG BED DODGE TRUCK WITH TRAILER BEHIND IT OUT OF A YARD THAT IT WAS STUCK IN. I didn't know, that Holder is or was sold in the USA. I think, it's rare beyond the pond. And I'm missing the typical hood

Maybe for the North American market, Brian. This type was built from 11/1957 to 09/1959, primary for vineyards. And Holder used the F&S D600L engine. F&S stands for Fichtel und Sachs (you know Gunther Sachs?). They produced clutches and engines up to the 1980's - I think.

The D600L is a two stroke Diesel - was there a market for Diesel engines 50 years ago in the States?
