That's a sweet find. I appreciate the fact that you will leave it as is. Myself, I would have to make it look new again. It would be nice to start a restoration on a machine like that, undamaged and not worn out!

Wow, what a great find. I would normally restore any gt I get, but that B1 is so nice and original, I agree on cleaning it up and be proud of how nice it is. VERY NICE!!

Time to celebrate.

I have a double IPA I've been waiting to try!  Time to bust out the celebratory snifter for that special pour (though the backdrop will be much different)!

I notice the dealer does not have an email contact listed on their website. Do you plan on contacting them and sending a link to this thread? Or at least a pic or two?

That's a great idea...I always photograph the dealer tags I have come through here, but have never reached out to any of them (most are long gone).  I see these guys have been around since '38, and the fella I got the tractor from asked for a reproduction of the dealer tag, as the tractor was still in/near Crown Point before yesterday.  Wouldn't it be neat if they had a few old decals in a drawer some place!

And they are still a Simplicity dealer. The use of the motto 'we service what we sell' seems to be the main theme on their webpage. Your new addition seems to exemplify that quite nicely.

Very nice A/C GT.

We have an old A/C dealer in town and I have seen many "B" models come & go in their shop.

So is that the correct headlight setup for a B-1? I've looked around trying to find a picture but no such luck.

Yes sir...the Simplicity had the center mount, but the AC had no provision for it.  The B-1 used a single light, mounted on the RH hood hinge bolt:

Here's a couple clips of the old girl waking up!

I love how these old Model 19's can idle down so low...I get my best low idle results from these engines.

Well, the weather flipped on us and its 10 degrees here now...for kicks I went out and gave the start button a push....it fired up instantly. That Briigs (and everything else about the tractor) is right and tight!

I did dig through my brochures and found a couple items I have on the B-1:
