I've got several of those "frog faced" Chevies and GMCs. The engine should be a 261 straight six. My 261s were all painted black. My 235s are Blue Flames. Some of that body looks pop rivetted. Just be patient, some one will call you to pick one up one of these days. Good Luck, Rick

Usually by the time I get called to pick them up ther are more of compressed rust.

Cool old truck. Looks like its getting pretty pricey. Way past what I would give for it already and it has a couple weeks to go.

What? You like to go Slow and have brake and tire replacement problems?? Too Old and way over priced now! I used to have a 54 6000 flatbed and it dumped. Had modern 19.5" wheels and radials on it, 12 volt alt, the stock six. Had and drove for several years. Should have kept it, the next owner worked it hard, broke and dented things and kinda let it go bad. Was gonna buy it back, but changed mind after seeing it again.

Pretty cool looking truck. I couldn't pay that much for it, but it looks cool.

I know you won't like this, but here's a local "I wish I had the money" truck.....
Ford or not, that truck is in good shape, with the 2 speed it's drivable on the highway, and the dump box is built correctly, it's not just a grain box without the sides.
And the seat is fancy.

Ford looks pretty good and more usable size.. On the two speed rear, just means SLOW and then SLOWER, not more hi-way speeds. In low range they can go real slow and really pull. I've had 50's F-600s and they are neat. Most these big trucks get too revving pretty hard by 55 or 60 mph. I drove mine mostly 50 or pushed 55 if in hurry! Ha!

Not a bad Furd
I actually like this one better. I thas more character (and stuff I can scrap on the back. ) I have a big dump bed setup just sitting in the field waiting for me to do something with it.
That's a neat old truck!

GMC group for just V-6 and v12 engines is good. These are not just Chevy engines, but big bad block GMC. Usually used in the bigger trucks, but also small ones in p/ups. Not sure if that is Yahoo group or something else. I'm a member, but haven't been there in years since I gave up messing with old trucks.
