Smash em' mash em' project, at uncle's shop using nothing but scrap/parts from around, borrowed camera for pic's.

Just has to work or be a flop, don't care, can modify at discretion.

Sits on extra soft anti-vib mounts from oxygen condenser compressor.

Briggs 92500 series, 3 hp with auto-choke carb. Delco Remy 65 amp alternator.

I've seen similar with a L&G or small car batt for a buffer. They used it and liked it.
There was another thread a while ago with plans kinda.

Web full of plans, several ways of going about it, purely charge/jump or with inverter for AC, many off-gridders use with wind/solar.

My first charger/jumper with Delco Remy CS121 alternator.

Nice little setup.  I ought to build one, too, for all the mumbling I do about battery jumpers and extension cords.

I've got an old Delco small (probably less than 2 1/2 hp I would think) plant that is supposed to be hooked up to a battery as a mobile jump.  I have never got it worked on.

More pic's of the alternator mount and idler pully.

Cast iron flywheel replaced the alloy one, started taking off the recoil clutch, took a pic and was distracted :bigrofl: by the old fart ripping around in the snow on his butt-buggie,  forgot to get pic's of reassemble of flywheel, i was :bigrofl: too hard !

Another day at the shop :dancingbanana:
