My favorite brand would be the bantam tractors. They just have such a neat design. Here's a picture of mine. It was on its way to the scrap yard and I was able to rescue it just in time.

Wow, I really have to be careful here, I don't want to jinx myself but I guess my profile picture says it best. 1972 Homelite made by Allis Chalmers or Simplicity. I have three Homelite (AC) T-16 H . However I have a 1986 Sears Custom 10 XL that would be the next along with it's smaller version of a Sears 1987 custom 8 E. Next would be the Jacobsen 1972 1200 Super Chief Hydro. I could go on but I think that is enough. HOMELITE (blue and white). Roger.

Well it is not really a GT at all. My dad has a case 310 utility with a shuttle box shift when I was in high school. Put a lot of hours in the seat of that one with a 6 ft International flail mower mounted.
If I ever find another i would jump all over it!! Problem is the made a lot more 580 Construction Kings that could be bought for the same money and are a lot more tractor.

Bantam's Should go to dump!  Most overated GT of all time!  :shoot2: That said.......I like the ones with wheels, but should be four of them, and best when they need to be pushed on my trailer!  Usually like the oddballs that were Still known to other non-tractor people, like MTD's and Speedex, and Power King/economy's.

Ok, here is where I stand with the Experience of my collection. I have bought the best and worst of tractors and paid up and down for them, and lost both time and money on them. Attempt one at buying my dream machine was a 1974 Gilson 16 horse gear drive. I thought it was the best thing ever until I found I had no reliability with it and kept dumping time and money at it. Ugh. So I stepped up and brought home a 1988 Craftsman GT18 I could beat on, upgraded the heck out of it and it continues to lose out in reliability ever time I go to use it. Both of these tractors are real workhorses and take plenty of abuse.... If you can get them going.... So then you add the fact I have owned both a Case 222 and 444 and got reliability out of each of them you would think I would pick those, but you'd be wrong. Some people have all the luck, but i learned that these tractors have to be bought in excellent condition or you end up fixing them all the time. Not to mention they didn't fit me that well, being I am tall. So I end up right where I want to be, amidst my Springfields. Not all run, but I like them all just the same and know I can always count on one of them to drag my latest purchase around the yard. Simple design, easy to work on, and well balanced for its weight class.

I'm quoting this to preserve it and to keep Jerome from editing out his candid confession.  I might need it later as a warrant to bring home some Ridemasters.

My all tIme favorite machine,. My 1972 Ford LGT 125 . To me this tractor is beautiful looking and performing . And it is Bone stock.
The 165 is too modified to consider. It would not be fair.
