We hang them up on a string, ( the cards, not the senders, although I'm tempted sometimes, lol) for the season, then it's into the fire with them. Some of the pictures are truly beautiful, and Oldedeere #2 makes bookmarks out of those.

Everybody gets them! But I think they are becoming another thing from the past? Instead those things are becoming daily posts on face book.

I do have a Facebook account, but do not spend hours on it every day. One brother is in Colorado and I see him about every 8-10 years. Sister and bother-in-law, one brother and my best friend all winter in Arizona. Face book is a way to keep up .

That said my daughter is a clerk in a motel. AN employee got fired there for posting a complaiint on Facebook about a customer waking her up while on the job. thats one example of some of the stupid suff that gets posted on face book.

It's good if used like that.

Mine just kind of sunk into family and friends degrading each other and arguing over the Internet because they aren't man or woman enough to say things in person.

I guess we should spend time around the holidays with our families, since we are related.  Catch up letters are sometimes the affordable means of information relaying, and sometimes the preferred method of getting together with family around the holidays. Me, I miss the days past of when we all got together at Grandma and grandpas' house for Christmas dinner and all the festivities that went with it!

Present time, my wife and my kids are getting ready to head up to church for

Christmas Eve. service, then to KU Med. to visit with my Dad (he is in the hospital again) and then I offered to feed them somewhere on the County Club Plaza...

Find some time to spend some time with your families, whatever the method.

  Merry Christmas to all!
