The gulf stream brings us + 7 °C this morning - but it will get warmer the next 3 days...

Oldedeeres are you getting the wind also.. Its sure pounding on the house.. snow drifts everywhere.. It's blowing your direction..

That's cold! Real cold!! At least at -40 it's easy to convert from C to F..

Yep, I heard it in the radio news this morning, that there's very bad wheather in some canadian terretories - Nova Scotia was named, too.

I always wonder how you can handle that kind of cold !!!!  Frozen pipes , vehicles that don't start it's a tuff country there :worshippy1:

It's a challenge, but doable if you're prepared. It's the unexpected that gets you.

I remember back in 92, we had a month of -30c , and the frost got down 6 ft in many

places that had never seen it before. City water lines, wells, culverts....you name it. What a

mess. My brother and I built a culvert steamer, and and went out and helped the

township guys.

Thanks Dave, we sure love our little place here at "over the hill" ranch, lol. And yes Team Green, the wind started up around 5p.m. and is howling now, with a shot of snow to keep us humble. I'm glad we live in the valley--- it's really miserable up on the flat tonight.
