Ok guys, I can see that the States that I just picked out in random, aren't going to work, and it appears that the majority of you are wanting to take advantage of getting together at local tractor shows. So with that said, I see no reason for me to be involved or for me trying to find meeting places. You all know where and when your local shows are held, so just post a reminder of the show when the time comes, and those that are interested can just make their own arranges to attend or not.

I deleted the poll that was at the heading of this thread, and I will delete the one on the other thread that I started as well.

Not many local tractor shows around this neck of the woods. Guess we'll have to make our own!

Kenny maybe that's the answer to getting members together where there isn't a anyshows to go . I also thought , if it could be done was in a thread about an event there would be a way you could   "sign-in " that you were going and it would put all the usernames in the first post . Like when we vote on things , This way you could look quicky and see if there are members going to a show , maybe if it's too far to tow a trailer might want to just go to see them by car .

Just a thought but I'd like to suggest we better utilize the GTTalk calendar since most want to meet at shows. I try to post up most of the local shows I know about but I don't see a whole lot of other listings. I'm always up for a road trip but just don't know about a lot of the shows outside my area. People usually post something in the events sub-forum but tend to wait until a week or so before the event and I'm also guilty of this. If it was posted on the calendar ahead of time, it would be easier to make plans and it wouldn't be buried a page or two back in the events topics.

That is very good, Jim! The calendar can be found here. Depending on what you are using to view the forum, it should be in the top header somewhere!

I second a meeting at the show in Portland Indiana.  Thats such an awesome show, and we make the trek up there every year from NC.  Its worth every penny spent on fuel and hotel rooms.

I'd be down with Portland except everyone I talk to says that most everyone has clears out on Friday...
