I can't help with your local shows, but can encourage you to give it a shot, whatever you find.  Attending is fun, and worth a drive, if you have enough time to 'see it all'.  I did that for a year or two, and then got the itch to exhibit...which, for me, has been even more fun.  It's a bit of a pain to pack and load, then get to a show and setup...especially if you're only going for a day, as I do, but I haven't regretted it yet.

I would like to make an over-nighter or two, as I can't see all there is to see at some larger shows.

It makes for some rewarding experiences to go to shows. Not only a lot to see but the fun is when the sun goes down and the stories are told around the campfire, new friends are made.

I traveled as an airbrush artist and it was a lot of long hours and hard work I would do it again in a heartbeat if I was young enough.

Car / Motorcycle 4th of July shows were my favorite although most communities have a street blocked off or a Fair Grounds or Park are used during the summer and have some sort of festival celebrating whatever made the community famous.

Locally we have Summer Fun Daze, Mushroom Fest, Strawberry Fest Etc.

I have been fortunate to attend and exhibit at several shows. It's a blast!  Almost as much fun as a plow day! Gotta be something up that way!

How close are you to Bangor PA? The Shaw reunion will be at their show in July.

If my memory serves me right Bangor is 6 to 8 hours away, I use to drive from Binghamton to Limestone , that's a haul.  I love going to tractor pulls, cruze  ins , car shows  but I'm sort of new to the GT show's and the hobby but have been bitten by the gt bug pretty bad.

The little guys show near Nutndun looks to be a great show. I tried to get there last year but the fates conspired against me.

If you get the chance to go jacktown it is a pretty good show good mix of tractors and hit miss engines etc. I think somebody posted a bunch of photos from the fall show this year.
