I am curious to some of the garden tractor sizes that typically came with 3 ph or hydraulics. I am going to scout the craigslist in my area, if I had an idea to certain models it would make my search easier. I do not care to brands, they all have there good and bad.

Here's the Cat. "O" 3pt on my 2418 Power King , I don't believe they offered a rear PTO, other then having drive shaft running underneath the frame. It will lift quite a bit ,but by lifting heavy items things broke and bent along it's life , DSC07516.jpg

My understanding is that it was an option on the JD 140, 318, and 420 and I've seen quite a few Case 446 advertised with them.

Massey/Snapper 1450 and 1650 also could have a 3 point hitch along with their hydraulic lift.

The MTD 990's from the 1970's thru mid 1980's came with hydrostatic 2-speed transaxle, cat. O 3-pt, PTO front & mid, with the option of running a drive shaft to the rear.

These were sold under a variety of names - MTD, UNICO, Farm King, JC Penney, Columbia, Firestone, and a few more. Very heavy duty tractors, and had a good assortment of attachments. Can be found just about anywhere - watch CL & eBay. Prices run anywhere from $150 - $1,500 - depends upon condition, accesories and area.

Good luck - Rich

Here's a photo of the rear of my 1982 MTD 990:

Deere 445, 455 and a few more of the deere models. Cat 0 3pt hitch and standard PTO.
Cat 0 hitch isnt very useful, not enough lift height really.
Best to go for an old Kubota model B7100, B6100 etc as you get a full size cat 1 linkage and 4WD. Not that much larger than a GT.
