I've decided to fix up my Custom Hauler. It needs a motor and a seat to get it running again.

This started life as a John Deere 400. It was modified to haul sod. The highlights are Hydro trans, Power Steering, and a Hydraulic Dump Box.

I'm thinking about giving it a new paint job, so that's where the forum comes in.

I'm thinking Red with Black highlights
Or Cat Yellow with Black highlights.

I'm open to suggestions and the colors most recommended is what I will paint it.

That is a crafty little conversion.  Took me a few minutes to figure out what all was done.

Were it me, I'd have to go Green, Black, and yellow.

Pink will make the tires look fat.    :D

What happens when pink wins out?

I was more concerned about purple, but if you think pink is a concern, I'll go with that too.

Did you do all the conversion yourself? It really looks like a good working and should do well for what you are using it for.

Even though I'm partial to green and yellow I like the idea of yellow and black,it would give it the industrial look.

Depends on how picky you want it to look, here's a few combinations I thought about.

1. Silver with a blue highlight.

2.Blue with a yellow highlight.

3. Black cherry with a light lime twist.

4. Light blue with white highlight.

Pink and chartreuse definitely.

Someone put a lot of work into that. I can understand how they reversed the hydro but how did they reverse the steering?

Lets get some more pic's of how that thing was modified it

Hi Arti, this way, the 400 is an industrial. So it must be highway-yellow and black!

:iagree:  especially if you used the 'correct' JD industrial colors.

Either that or green and yellow.

It did start life as a JD and I personally think that it should reflect it's heritage.
