Used to be big into John Deere snowmobiles.  Still have 2 Spitfires, a Liquifire, and a 600.  Then the garden tractor bug bit me and I've hardly been on a sled since.  Just can't feasibly drive a sled 9 months of the year.

In my younger years I would do some crazy things on a bike.  At one point I had put some ape hangers on a BSA 441 Victor.  A group of us were going down the expressway and we decided to hit it.  With the apes on there and the low end tongue the front end came up and I was doing a wheelie at 70+.  Not much in today’s standards.  Anyway one of the guys christened me with WildBill and it just kind of stuck.  Like some of you the that name was taken, to common, so I played around with variations and finally came up with this one for Harley Davidson since that's what I ride.

The funny thing is when I signed up I thought I would not be very involved and so my user name really didn't matter.  Boy was I wrong!  I never dreamed this site would have changed my life the way it has.

I removed this from copperhead's thread and will move here:

When I was in college I discovered Dave Matthews Band. It was just past his prime (both musically and popularity wise, IMHO) but while all of the other kids were being cool with whatever was pop or anti-pop at the time thier albums were being the soundtrack to my college career. They got me through a LOT of studying and homework.

I became a HUGE DMB fan. This is my favorite performance of my favorite son (two step) of theirs:

I had 5 of the things back in the 80's..  A 600, 400, 2- 500's and a JDX4..  The 600 was a wide track but the JDX4 was my favorite as it had the slide suspension..  I have a 15" track for sale on CL if you know anyone looking for one..

I'm originally from southeastern Ohio, and I have had a few folks tell me I have a "southern" accent. I always tell them I'm from Appalachia, not the south.

Just an old nickname from high school and the year I was born. It's easy to remember.

I came up with mine when I was 13-14 years old and I was making a email address. At the time I wanted to get a Farmall tractor and farmall was taken so I came up with farmerall. I never would have guessed I would end up collecting garden tractors and using that name as my username.

Well since I got on the Net my User name has always been Jim-Iowa. When I registered here for some reason it would not go in.

So I used my initials and last name.

Back in my college days, me and my  pool playing / motorcycle riding partner / drinking buddy  saw a movie called "Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man" .  Each of us fit the personalities of the stars in the film in many ways, and we started calling each other by the nicknames of" Marlboro  " ( me ) and " Harley" ( him) . As time wore on, the nicknames just stuck, and there are folks out east where I worked for some time that never knew my real name.

When I got into boating, I joined a boating  forum, and wouldn't you know that " Marlboro" was already taken and so was the kind of boat  I had , a Maquise 180.... I just swapped my nickname into the 180 part, so Marlboro180 was it.

Seeing as I suffer from C.R.S.  , I just keep my screenname across the forums. :D

Pretty self-explanatory, I like JD, I am a guy and I had a John Deere 445 GT at the time I joined. It is elsewhere right now.
