Well, it finally happened on this tractor. Been talking with the old man for a while now and never could strike a deal on a trade or cash. Frankly, he wanted more than I was gonna pay, and he had everything I had as far as tools/trade offers. So my old man told me to bring him over to his shop...see if there was anything over there he could use. He found a couple of metal forges which I really didn't want my dad giving up...but he did...and I will forever be looking to replace them. It came with a deck, tiller, and plow blade. There are some things that need attention but for the most part it is solid. The hydrualics aren't working, but I think that can be addressed easy enough. Also, the lights aren't working which I think we can get going as well. It runs great though, and the tires spin in the snow...so I'm happy...just need to find a forge that'll make my old man happy. Looking forward to getting this thing 100% and using it.

Thanks Brian!

Haha! Yes, it is grass!!! We had about 10" of snow last week which is highly unusual for where I'm located. I loved it...the wife not so much, in fact, she got in a wreck, low speed, slid into a semi on the interstate with all three of our boys in the Suburban. Long story short, her and the kids are fine thankfully and the Suburban is going to be fixed and not totalled...so I'm happy about that. I would love to have more snow so I could have an excuse to use the blade!

Nice sharp looking tractor.  Is that original paint?

Glad to hear nobody was hurt.  Accidents like that get bad fast since once one car meets another intimately on the road, everyone else joins the party as the tires slide!

That's a good one.  It appears to have been well cared for.  Great photographs too.

Ben, not sure about the paint. It is a bit brighter than my other 1556 which I know is original. I think it may have been painted a few years back and just very well taken care of. I'm happy with it but I would like to get a sticker kit because all of the stickers around the levers are missing. Another reason I think it may have been painted a few years back maybe when the stickers weren't available.

Thanks for the compliments...

Steve

Thanks! I couldn't agree more. I'm very blessed to have an awesome dad...and I think I may have found a replacement forge for him already...that's in better shape than what he traded off...and it's only $250 asking price!!! Hopefully will be getting it and throwing it under the tree for Christmas!

I guess that makes your tractor purchase price for $250.  That was not a bad deal!
