Work today was kind of a drag. I don't mind working the occasional Sat. Even look forward to one once in a while, but today was slower than usual and I'm all caught up at work...

Anyways, on the way home, my Dad called to say they released him for at least a few days.
Then when I got home, I had just enough time to use the ST16 and blades to clear the parking area.
After that, I took the Kids to the Winter Dance at the HS. Then Loran and I came back home, cleared the neighbors parking area and had a snowball fight... I even got an unsolicited hug and an "I Love You Daddy" after we made snow angels.
Soon we will have to go get the kids, but we are enjoying each other and a little peace and quiet.

That's one of those days you never want to end.  Hang on to those memories as you won't get too many of those days.  So glad to hear dad came home.  Early Christmas presents all the way around!

Good for you Alan. Got to appreciate those goods times as being the Dad when the opportunity knocks. :dancingbanana:

I was out clearing the driveway with the 110 and came in to warm up a little before starting on all of the neighbors sidewalks, when I noticed there was a message on the answering machine. I played it and found that it was the neighbor lady from two doors down, thanking Kathy and I for doing a great job raising our kids, and that she really appreciates Caleb (my oldest son and fellow member jdelfjunior) because he not only shoveled their sidewalk, but also did the elderly lady's across the street who recently lost her husband (two months ago) to lung cancer. Well, needless to say, I had to let Caleb know how much I was proud of him, and told him that hard work does get appreciated every now and then, Thanked him for going above and beyond the call of duty, and for being thoughtful and considerate,

Then I stuck my chest out, arms back, and walked back out to the garage like a very proud rooster, chatting, That's my Boy!

I even got an unsolicited hug and an "I Love You Daddy" after we made snow angles.

After you made a bunch of angles in the snow, did they resemble this?

We just go with snow 'angels' around here, we don't worry about the sensitive people.

:poke: :bigrofl:

jk - sounds like a great evening.

Nope these are angles. Mine was 90 (using the 3-4-5 principle to check) and hers was more obtuse...

:poke:

Thanks, I'd have read that 20 times and skimmed over it.

We've made those before only mine was obtuse and my daughters was rather acute.
