About a year ago we had a thread about Sonny's Bolens. Did anybody learn what happened to him? I happened across his site and was impressed with the inventory shown. Good Luck. Rick

I drove by his place this last summer,  The house on the property has been torched and the doors to one of the buildings was wide open.  I am surprised the scrappers have not loaded up all the metal for the scrap yard.  He is in jail from what I hear.  Seems like anyone could just drive up and take what they wanted.  really a shame.  The web page is very misleading.  Here are some photos of the place a couple years ago.  His father had a great business at one time. There are still a lot of great parts here it just there is no one buy them off of.

I bought the place a few months ago, just haven't had time to get out there and pack everything up yet.

I'm not selling anything. I'm going to hoard it all, sorry guys. : )

Wow... what happened? or does anyone really know? That's a real shame - hate to see anything like that. However I can relate to this, there are two places close to my house that sold tractors (Power King, JD, and Wheel Horse). Both places (supposedly owned by the same guy) shut down one night and have been boarded up for years (i'd say since the 80's). The one location had at least 30 new Wheel Horses and another 20-25 used tractors in various conditions. They were in good shape for the longest time, then the roof collapsed on the upstairs part of the building and flooded the place with each rain. A few years back someone opened the place up and was "selling" stuff between trailer loads. I guess they were hauling it to another location. I found out later that the person that did it had actually stolen the stuff  :( ... and they were either caught or stopped because there are still quite a few things left in the building, although all but one window is boarded up now. The other location sold John Deere. The same guy supposedly owned a place in Moundsville WV - it is now home to a Marina - although plenty of old tractors are piled along the backside of the building. Here are some pictures I snipped off the internet from Google and Bing - you can't really see in the buildings from this view.. but they were both packed. The JD dealer is still packed, but also has a bunch of older tractors sitting outside along the side of the building now (for at least the last 4-5 years).

If I get laid off, I'll come out and help with the T190 w/forks and the neighbor's 26' enclosed trailer.  Sounds like a good time to me. You bring the coffee, I'll bring the smokes.
