Just so everyone's clear, the no fees to family and friends is only if you maintain a credit in your Paypal account or you've linked them to your bank checking account.  Otherwise there is a 2.9% fee.  Not a big deal for something like this, but just be aware.

I had wondered about that, my paypal is DBA Grandpas Garage and is hooked direct to my bank account. It didn't show any fee or show that it reduced the amount sent on my end, even though I didn't see any family or friend button.

Good to see the response for Robert and the kids...

I got some edits made to the letter. If you want to check it out and make sure I got everyone on there that would be great. Should have another day or so till the deposit goes through.

Check two things    - should it be " not more pain" or "no more pain"   and rely "on" friends

Good job!

You are right Scott, it should read "no more pain". Good catch!  It's hard to concentrate or write with tears in your eyes.  :(

As for the "on" friends, I think George will be making that change soon.

Ok guys. As promised here is the final edit. At least I think it is the final edit.

I am thinking the money should show up in the account tomorrow and if it does i will stop by the bank on the way home from work and get the money order made up and get everything together when I get home to drop it off in the mail first thing Thursday morning.

Alright guys. The money showed up in the account yesterday as processing so we stopped today and had a cashiers check made up. They wouldn't do a money order over $1,000 and it was a $5 fee per money order and the cashiers check was a $10 fee. I got the letter printed out on nice paper stock and took a photo of the letter and check. We will mail it out tomorrow. I think he would have it Monday.

Here are the pics.
