Geez, I'm sorry I read this thread. What the heck is this world coming to.

I had no idea it was that bad. No restrictions like that up here, yet.

It's unfortunate Ryan, that you have to jump through these sort of hoops.

I can understand you being upset.

If you take 100 people and talk to each person individually for 5 minutes, you might find 5 idiots in the group. If you take all 100 and try to hold a meeting, that number will skyrocket to 30+.

Individuals are courteous and interesting. People are moronic. Turn on the news and watch the first 5 minutes, I guarantee the L.C.D. theory will come jumping right out at ya. Makes me sick.

At 23, I still get "carded" for paint at "the farm store" when buying 6 or more cans, over 6 cans and they want to know my phone number and where I live... I asked the girl if all this was necessary, since I don't give out my personal information to places with databases. When she told me she couldn't sell me the paint without that information, I told her a fake birthday, a local zip code, and the number to an old phone number I no longer have. She rang up the paint and I was on my way.

Somewhere in that database there are 10 different mes lol. I never worry about consequences because I use the items as intended, therefore no one needs to "look into me" and if they do, I am as good as a ghost.

I was carded for beer in Vermont last year at age 63 . I had a designated driver and it could not be consumed anyway as a carryout .

I suspect laws meant to monitor parolees but I did not ask.   Draft card  carrier at age 18 while in high school in 1968 . Couldn't vote ,

couldn't drink beer -   so they thought .  I quit now .

It basically takes a few. Bad people to ruin things for all of us. When I was younger it was paint ball cylinder refills. Had to have my dad with e to get them filled. I could buy the gun the paint balls and an empty tank but couldn't get it filled

A person used to be able to walk into a hardware store and buy dynamite.

Does it show my age that I remember this?

Yeah, I think it does show your age some. :poke:

I remember once as a child, my mom called the store for a small bottle of paragoric and asked if she could send me to get it and the store keeper said no problem,.  I still don't remember why she needed that.  Do you suppose she was abusing it and then shooting up the town with my 22?  NAW! Not my Mama.
