Well RATS!  I've been too busy of late to do much of anything on here and I finally decided to get caught up on this thread.  Not what I wanted to see.  I've been down the road you just turned onto three times and I'm already tired knowing what's ahead.  Be prepared for crying, uncertainty, joy and many more emotions than you ever thought possible.  It's a roller coaster ride.  No sense hiding it.  It's better that you prepare so that you can be strong for your family.  Now, if (and when) this turns out to have a positive outcome (and we all pray for that) then you can throw a party like nobody has ever seen. Feel free to have plowing there, we'll show up.  Anyway, lean on the fact that you have two things on your side that will not waiver. 1. God is with your dad, you and the whole family.  God answers every single prayer.  Sometimes the answer is no.  Doesn't mean we shouldn't try (maybe even harder).  Give Him the glory no matter what.  2.  We here at GTtalk.  We are like family here and you are a fine, upstanding member.  Those who have met you are better off for it.  We are with you, we lift the situation up in prayer and we hope to rejoice with you when the dust settles.

Just to catch everyone up here.
The doctors are delaying the chemo for about a month to see if they can get his white and red cells up a little on their own. They are using a mix of steroids and proteins to attempt to reinforce his own blood making abilities. Hopefully, this will reduce the number of transfusions he may need during the process.

As for what he has and the end goal need of donation, please see this post: http://gardentractor...er/#entry411969

My youngest sister had to stop her chemo 1/2 way through due to low platelet count.  She had to skip over a month of chemo before her cell count got back to high enough levels.

Oh, and my sister Angela will be done with her chemo in mid February.  It took her down as far as she could go, her words, but she's coming back.  She's 62yrs old.

Since the last update, things had been going pretty well. He would even feel pretty good for a couple of days after his protein infusion.
Yesterday, he got one and he started running a fever. Mom took him back in last nite (of course she downplayed it all as precautionary when I talked to her last nite)

He had a fever of 104 and they are pumping him full of antibiotics. They even put him on O2 just in case it dropped.
No answers yet as to what's going on, Doc wont be in for a while yet, I'm on standby.
My Dad and Mom could really use some positive thoughts and prayers today. Thanks.
