What a shame to see you begin down the slippery green slope of Deere.
Looks like two nice tractors, though, even considering the paint color.

I'm glad I got them and it will be fun to see what it's like to operate a JD. It has to be better than my brothers little JD rer lol. Really the only JD I want for my collection is a 140H3 but those seem to be hard to find around me and when one does come up for sale the price is high too. I bought these to because the price was right, at 200 for the pair I couldn't go wrong. Next I have to se if one or both will run and I will go from there. I'd consider keeping one if I had the room but right now I have so much stuff that these two will have to sit outside and I have way to many projects too.

Well, at $200 for the pair I think I would turn green for the day, too.

Patio Deck??? What?, if painted WHITE, it is worth more money?? Isn't that ONLY diff on the deck? OH, yeah, maybe a LABEL that makes it worth more.....sure, that's it!
They are referring to the JD patio tractor series were instead of being painted green and yellow, the tractors were painted white with either a red, blue, yellow, or green hood if I am correct. This was a limited series and are more desirable because there are fewer of them. Having an original deck is worth more because it is an original one form the series and it is harder to find since there are less of them that were originally painted white instead of yellow.

Custom color (AKA - patio) were painted white and the consumer was to choose the matching hoods and seats in the following colors:
- April yellow (lighter than regular Deere yellow)
- Red
- Orange
- Blue

I know all about the patio colors and being white! But come on! The decks must be all the same for the models, just diff color. Considering that one would need new paint just to make it look nice, why couldn't anyone take Any deck and paint it white and have same thing then? Who would know if it was "original" patio or not??? That's why I asked if a TAG on it that makes the diff to Green guys, but no diff to any of the rest of us, ha!

patio decks are pretty rare as most were repainted green, patio collectors would be interested in buying the deck for their patio,

Are the patio decks tagged differently? My patio 140H3 has a newer deck so i know it wasn't repainted yellow.

So glgrumpy is right... I guess factory rivets would have to be removed to ID a possible factory Patio then.

The deck is a patio deck. It has been repainted yellow and most of the yellow has flaked off. I will have to get a few pictures of it in the morning.
