I took a van to a local scrap yard Saturday and noticed a complete Kohler K181 replacement engine sitting on the ground. I asked several people about it and everyone said they couldn't sell it.After dropping my daughter off at school today, although i knew it would be gone,i decided to check and see if it was still there. It was still sitting there ! I was amazed and after asking different people about it again,it was still a no go, until...A lady in the office dialed the owner's number and after a few attempts he answered, she explained to him about me wanting the engine then handed me the phone.I explained what the engine was that I wanted and he quickly told me to "Just have Daniel weigh it out"I thanked him very much and went back to get it. The engine seems to have good compression but runner or not,I think it was a great buy at $14.40.

Wow, that's a great find. I wonder if it may have been on a log splitter.

good job getting the kohler and a good price

over a month ago I was a guy a gets scrap metal of all kinds

he had a Kohler k301 complete setting there and I asked would he what for it.

He said that I can have it.  when I got it home and checked it over and took the head off.

it turns out that it is a K321 bored .020 over and looked great in the cylinder wall

I stop there about every two weeks to see what he has.

He asked me to help him get a load down the street, so I yes YES

We loaded up his 24' trailer full of things and he said do I need/want anything that is there

there was nothing I really need or want.  I was glad to help him.

He told me that he would rather give things away and to see somebody steal from him.

When he does sell me things I try to over paid him
