Hello every one,The Bolens G16XL I bought for a 6 pack is up and running and earned a spot in my heated garage.

I think I have about $300 in it now, have not added in up yet-but I think about 300,best money I ever spent. This is List of what I did.

New starter solonoid(old Ford truck style)--new pto belt--new bearings,seals,sprocket,chain on blower--fuel line,filter&fuel shut off,

spark plug--changed engine oil--greased every thing--new tube for front tire--machined some new bushings for lift lever--AND I was lucky enought to find a good carb from an older man who once had a small engine shop and it worked perfect, didn't even have to adjust the needels just idle speed and then undo 30years of jerry rigs that were done to the tractor.

AM I HAPPY?  YOU CAN BET YOUR LAST DOLLAR I AM.

Got to play with it Saturday night, 18 degrees and 4" of fluff did the drive way and the side walk for the whole block,Was I cold?

heck no.Having way to much fun to be cold probably could have done it in my underware.

The Power King looked sad but it's to big for the side walk so it will spend the winter under a tarp.

I think I might be hooked and the wife thinks I'am nuts, but I am having a blast.

Thanks to you guys for the help------------------------Bill

P.S--a tip from a friend, wear a full face motorcycle helmut when snow blowing-keeps snow out of your face and No one can see you smiling :D

Someone put lift spring on upside down, they wanted to make it impossable to adjust

Bet no one has these on their blower, someone made some sort of chain oiler.Am I going to use it? NO,but I will leave in on.Looks cool in a strange way.

And the 1971 power king--poor thing, the darn storm ripped off the tarp.Gotta do some thing about that
Now that I getting this picture thing figured out I will post some of the jerry rigs that I fixed and parts I made.
have a safe day----Bill
