:boo_hoo: Already gettin' the Winter Blues!  Too cold to work on stuff, can't get into shop anyway with all the tractors stuffed in for winter. No snow to push around for seat time!  Older I get, I understand why olld folks go to Florida and Arizona. Never understood that in past, do NOW!  Work's a drag, people not showing up and they don't hire enough to cover them, extra work for rest, winter's here, Xmas season, which I HATE anymore.  Think I'll start drinking!   Been laying around last couple week-ends, doing nothing, wife's PO'd I don't get off couch and help in house duties, etc, etc.   Maybe I'm Bi-polar, and this is the North Pole at moment,.....Hee!  Guess I don't get that label, huh?  Someone come Slap me up a little and kick my A**!

OK, my Moments over, see ya! :ah_shoot:

I'd go South and visit TD&H, but I haven't figured out how to take the GT's & the shop with me!

You need to find another winter hobby that you can do when you put the tractors away for the winter. I don't like winter either and part of it for me is the lack of light. At least it won't be long now (Early January) before the days start to get longer again.

The older I get, the less I like winter!   :wallbanging:   But I'm not into traveling, so I guess I'll just have to live with it.   :deadhorse:   ~~  Lowell

You folks realize it's way too early to start complaining, right? What's too cold? It started at -4 this morning and it's up to 11 now, I've been outside 1/3 of the day so far. Crisp, clean, fresh air.

I would hladly spend winters in Florida and summers here if I could.  I could get something there to play with.  When I lived there, I had a big old snapper that had the weight and low geat to do just about anything. To think, I just used it for mowing and to pull a yard cart.

I suffer from depression, and glgrumpy, I know what you are talking about.

I do well most of the time with medication, but this time of year really gets me down.

I thought of posting the same. Been cooped up cause of "COLD" wife is feeling intruded on, Holidays are a strain on the budget, and Shop work has come to a standstill.

I just hate being cooped up in the house as I have no real way to heat the shop & Tractor Port!

I've been dealing with the cold weather blues for about 4 weeks now, not fun. I have so many garage projects to work on and now the house remodel and just can't get the energy to start. I hate the cold too, actually allergic to it. If I'm out too long, my legs will literally break out into hives like a major allergic reaction.

Sucks getting home at 6pm so it's almost too late to get into anything.

Threads like this do lift my spirit some, because I realize I'm not alone in dealing with the winter blues.  I have not enjoyed winter for many years now and as I get older it becomes harder to deal with. It has been raining every day for a week and although the temps haven't been to bad the dark gray sky's and bare trees and all the leaves on the ground tend to depress me.  Like some of you my big problem is getting motivated to go down to the shop to work on something.  I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the white stuff.
