hello everyone i just picked up a bolens on my way home today off the side of the road, the guy said he thought it was an ht20 but wasn't 100%!! iv been reading up on bolens the last month or so and plan to buy an ht23 next week. but i came across this today and picked it up for the attachments. does anyone know where i could look for a serial or model number?? i took a few quick pics but its dark out and its pretty dirty, it needs a good cleaning but it runs like a top, ill post some good pictures tomorrow after i give it a bath if i still haven't been able to identify it! i plan to re-sell it so i want to make sure i know exactly what it is so that its listed correctly! any information would be great!! thanks!

Hi welcome to GTtalk.

You have a HT20 the tag for the tractor should be under the hood on the top engine tin but the tin looks to be missing.

Looks like an HT20, but I suppose it could be an HT18? Look under the hood, perhaps the metal cover will still be in place. If so it should have a metal ID tag (if it has a kohler k532 its an HT20).I would love to see additional pictures. What attachments did you get with it.

I guess my phone didn't load all of the photos. But I agree that it is most likely an HT20

found a tag on the engine, just barely legible. k532s, so I guess that confirms the ht20........it  came with a two stage blower (what I wanted most), mower deck, hydro plow blade, the cab, and a weight box for the back. thanks a lot for the quick responses and information!

I thought I wanted one of those 2-stage blowers until I actually saw one. :rolling:

Those things are MASSIVE, and you will definitely need some weight in that weight box.

With as much as you got with it, and it runs well, why would you sell it off?

Oh yeah, and :welcometogttalk:

Not just ugly.

I zoomed in on that and whoever bent it didn't use a tubing bender, and it's really flattened at the bend.

There is some SERIOUS restriction there.  That can't be good for the engine.

How come there is no reproduction Bolens steering wheel caps ? Seems to me there is a market or are there too many different sizes ? Is the HT 20 large frame different from tube frame {say 1220 } ? Thanks Mike

There are multiple versions of the caps depending on year and model for Both tubeframe and Largeframe

There's still alot of NOS around and generally you need to make a couple thousand as a minimum order when you get stuff made.......
