hello. just wanted to let whomever needs to know, that they can get a headlight bulb for the simplicity sovereign 3416 here:  http://satco.iqlight...-dc-c-ges-c.asp, for under $5.

ive discovered this thanks to littlemarv, after reading everywhere that simplicity no longer makes a bulb and that i would have to make customizations to the wiring and socket or some shenanigans like that. hogwash. this bulb fits perfectly. like it was made for it.

I've been looking for these for ages. Ordered some today. Will have to rewire as I've been using 1156's backed up with coke can bottoms.

phil i was using 1176 before i found this bulb. the base needed is BA15D. which these are.

I rewire both of the contacts to be positive so that I could use a BA15s. It worked pretty well but will have to change back when my new bulbs arrive.
