What does this look like it is supposed to be for?  Wrong color for the Jacobsen.  Any thoughts?

I haven't a clue. I did look through my Jake files & didn't see anything like it.

To me it looks a lot like a simplicity blade bracket that's been modified a little. But since it looks gold im guessing a Montgomery wards version of the simplicity. Found this picture on here. (not my tractor posted by tractormike). Looks to be the same to me.

It fits 'small frame' Simplicity, Allis, Homelite and Wards (Simplicity-built).

Wanna sell it?  Might make a beefier set-up to make fit my Speedex?  That lift arm almost looks like the one on my Bolen's blade that is for sale here, but not part of Bolens. Odd!

I can tell you, that they are not real popular or collectable but buipt to last 3 lifetimes...they dont die. I dont think I have ever fetched more than $50 for a real nice Simplicity small frame dozer and hitch. That one is missing a few brackets, and is probably best suited for a non-simplicity fabrication or use. Its a bummer, but they made a billion of them and very few folks seek out a dozer for the LT's of that era now.

The Wards paint makes it EXTREMELY scarce though....but the problem is, nobody has the matching tractor. I found one (a Wards Squire 6), but have only seen a picture of one other. Small group that may desire it in that rare oem color. The lift rod is probably a $15 part though, because those are always missing.

Wards paint?? It sure looks white to me. Maybe Allis' off-white.

Definitely Wards bronze pictured...I have that hitch in 5 oem colors (simp orange, allis yellow, allis white, wards bronze, simp black, and homelite blue) Ill post a pic of the Wards bronze beside the late Allis off-white. I believe there was a straight Simplicity white also.
